ELF Module 12- Pirates

Module 12 is focused on Pirates and consolidates all skills taught in the program.

Learning Activities

1. Following instructions – student listen to instructions and draw a picture from Muffalo Potato 
2. Read ccvc words – students match letters on keys to create words and read them.
3. Vocabulary – students listen to sentences and provide correct words so the sentence makes sense.
4. Segmenting sounds – students step out the sounds in each word.  Some students have difficulty hearing all the sounds and chunk sounds together. Stop should be s-t-o-p not st-o-p.
5. Handwriting – students use the sight word focus for the week to practice letter formation and positioning on the lines.
6. Language development – teachers read books to the students and discuss the content using Blanks Questions as a basis to extend language and vocabulary. Training in Blanks Questions is available at Blanks Questions Training
7. Write their first name and surname, if still required.
8. Sight words – students are exposed to and play games focusing on the Lemon words from Magic Words
